Welcome to the ANDI boudoir sexy little planning guide! I am SO excited you wanted to learn more about how we roll, what to expect, and begin planning the boudoir session of your flippin' dreams! First thing you need to know: We have FUN. Like, no joke, session days are FILLED with laughter as we drown out the nerves!

Second thing you need to know, is that while you may be contemplating this as a gift for a loved one, this is JUST as much, if not more a gift for YOU, and you absolutely deserve it.

Please take the time to travel through this whole guide, as it will prepare you for the possibility of a session, as well as ensure you've spent time thinking about what you want this to be, before you and I meet up for your pre-session consultation. You're going to die when you see how fun this experience is, girl!

How do we tailor this to YOU?

We KNOW this is personal. That's why we work hard to make sure that you know, and we know exactly what you're looking for in your photos! EVERY women we work with is as unique and individual as the woman prior to her. Because these are INTIMATE and PERSONAL, we work incredibly hard to create an experience that speaks to YOU.

Style, Mood & ideas

We’re going to DIVE in to a series of questions that will help us understand how YOU want to be seen for YOUR boudoir session. Things that help us align on how bare you want to be, how steamy the photos should look, and the essence or story we’re telling!

When considering your style, ask yourself, do I want these photos to depict a glamorous woman? Do I want to stay true to myself and stick to my tomboy roots? Is your style more organic, barefoot and understated make up, or are we adding patent leather and a flogger to your set? Take some time to consider the mood that makes sense for YOU.

Consent & Comfortability

We KNOW the trust it requires for women to come into the studio, essentially meet a couple strangers, and plan to take their clothes off. We do not take that for granted! Before your session takes place, in your Pre-Session Consultation, we will also go over your comfortability and ask consent to ensure we are operating within your comfort levels! I typically ask clients these three questions:

1. Level of Undress:

How undressed do you want your photos to be and become? Would you rather stay in dresses, sweaters and leg warmers, and stay more covered? Perhaps we’ll spend most of the time in lingerie, but you do want some topless shots? Of course we offer Fine Art Nudes, as well.

2. Provocativeness of Photos:

We all know nudity is not necessarily tied to sexuality—you can eat potato chips on a couch in the buff, and it might be hot, but it also might not be. For this reason, we ask how steamy you want your photos to be, as well. Looking to rock the girl next door mood? Perfect. Want to live in a sensual, sexy space? Awesome. Want to make your partners jaw drop because your photos are straight sexual? I’m here for that, too, girl. We’ll line out exactly what you want!!

Important Disclosure: SO many women tell me that they don’t know how to be sexy, or are worried they’ll be awkward or things will be weird trying to get the more sexualized shots. Girl, there is NOTHING sexy about the actual session. I’m bossy AF. It’s super mechanical. I’m literally telling your EVERY movement to get the shot I need, you won’t even know what I’m getting, most times, until you see the back of my camera!

3. Comfortability to consent:

from time to time, I will ask clients if they want to try something in a session, that I hadn’t specified in their Pre-Session Consultation. I always ask clients whether you’re okay with that or would prefer if we stick to the boundaries specifically laid out during our appointment. I never want you to feel pressured to say YES to something that you actually wanted to say NO to. If you KNOW you want to achieve a sexy look, but are nervous to say so, please let us know if we should push you. Because comfort is so important, unless you say push, I absolutely will NOT--we'll stick to what feels right.

 What Should I Wear?

This is probably my most frequently asked question: What do I bring? The most important thing I can tell you is that if you FEEL beautiful in it, you will convey that beauty to the camera. Lots of our ladies also decide to buy a little something special for their session, and want to know, what is the most flattering lingerie for my body? We also keep some pieces available for our clients use, so don't worry! We got your back!

Location

Typically, sessions are held in my gorgeous Roseville, CA studio! On location sessions are available for an additional fee, and seasonal sessions at approved locations are OUR FAV. If you want to book with something specific, in mind, let us know! Otherwise, we can’t wait to host you at the studio!

Pre-Session Process

Once you have booked a session with ANDI Boudoir, you’ll start receiving a host of emails from us! Make sure you have them so you don’t miss questionnaires, instructions, important reminders and more. You will be guided through the session experience through these emails, and in person as we draw nearer to your date with adventure! Additionally, we will spend 20-40 minutes in a consultation setting, either in the studio or over the phone/zoom, dependent on whether you choose a lingerie fitting as a pre-session payment plan bonus! This will happen sometime between 2-6 weeks time leading up to your session date! We will discuss all things about your session, including your preferences from this guide! We'll lay it all out so you know exactly what to expect. After meeting and in the days leading up to your session, starting roughly 10 days before your session, you will receive a series of emails from us that will entail reminders to drink water, the prep we need you to complete to have an exceptional session, and a reminder or three. :-) We're here to walk you through every step of the process, and if you ever have any questions, we'd love to hear from you!

Session Day Expectations

Our session appointments are ALL about YOU! You are my team's sole focus, and my-oh-my is it a day of pampering! We begin the session with 90 minutes in hair and make up the morning of our date, while you sip your nerves away with a little champagne & orange juice (only if that's good! please let me know if I should offer something else, instead!); you prep, we chat, hang out, laugh and overall get to know one another and clarify expectations.

After hair and make up is complete, we spend the next 1-2 hours shooting your boudoir photos, the amount of time we spend shooting is dependent on the level you purchase, bonuses you’ve selected, and more, which are all explained once booked in! For a typical in-studio boudoir session, you will enjoy the opportunity to grab a bite to eat, and return to the studio about an hour later to see all your amazing photos, same day. Lots of our gorgeous clients travel, and we try to make the process as compact as possible! You will have the option to discuss retouching levels, editing requests, and more customization at this time, as well. While we look at your photos, we'll discuss the incredible custom pieces we have available, drool over your babely booty and completely customize everything you'll need to have EVERY possible gift you could want for your partner and/or yourself! We enjoy the thrill of the adrenaline high!! You choose your photos, your products and we walk through the entire process together in one day. Expect the possibility of a marathon day ranging between 7-8 hours on the long side. Typically we wrap up in 5-6!

After such a LOVELY day together, we wrap up the day with a hug or high five and I get to work on the completion of your beautiful artwork! Most client receive a proofer of their edited photos 14-21 days following their session date. From there, products are delivered to your doorstep 3-6 weeks following proofing.

Hi. I'm Andrea--the artist behind ANDI. If you've read my bio on my website, we've gotten through pleasantries, and this is my opportunity to get to the MEAT AND POTATOES of why working with me and my team is an investment in YOU.

I spent my late teens working in the modeling industry, and let me tell you--photographers in fashion DO NOT pose models, this taught me Boudoir 101. I can pose a woman like a motha--I literally will pose you from your toes to your fingertips, and will sometimes even control your breathing. I do this, because I KNOW what will flatter your body. I KNOW what will help you achieve the expressions you'd like to relay. I guide you like this, because we as women have to know too much, already. I take the guess work out of that mess.

Furthermore, I'm kind of an expert in photoshop--you don't even wanna know the crazy stuff I can do. Does this mean that I'm going to take the opportunity to make you 50 pounds lighter than you are? Hell no. This is all about body positivity and loving you AS YOU ARE. BUT, it means that I will give you magazine quality images. So, ever wondered what you'd look like if you had access to the retouchers the magazines use? You’ll get close here, boo.

Most importantly: I am a CHAMPION of women. I believe the most important things we can do for ourselves is to COMPLETELY embrace who we are. This includes being too thin, too chubby, too old, whatever... It's all a load of garbage because we are incredible on the inside and that radiates on outward. Let me show you YOUR beautiful!

I’ve literally sunk further and further into this space that women are mystical, magical superheroes that deserve all the adoration and praise in the world, for the good they bring. For the balance, and love. I have watched boudoir transform lives, as a catalyst to beautiful acceptance and appreciation. I’ve had so many women tell me that they now see what their husbands have always told them they saw.

How magical is this work, right? Dope. My job is dope.

I don’t think I can do this.

I often hear from ladies how nervous they are to try something like this. A million doubts run through their head: I'm too fat, if I lose 20 pounds maybe I can do this. I'm too old, I should have celebrated myself earlier in my life. It's too expensive, I'll never be able to afford it.

These are all lies!! NOW is exactly the time you should consider these photos. Sometimes, as women, we get so wrapped up in our roles we forget that we are first and foremost WOMEN, and my ladies, that is something that should be celebrated! As for the money, babe, I KNOW this is an investment, and may take some time or planning, but please don’t let your head tell you that you don’t deserve to spend the money—because that’s NOT true. These photos are an opportunity to say to yourself: 'Hey, self! You know what? I love you (or maybe I think I love you), so I'm going to take a moment to cherish you, to do something SCARY and empower myself at the same time." To say to your doubts: "NO. You will not win today!" Plus, girl. Do you know how much money is dropped into your partner’s golf bag? Their gaming systems? Their hobbies? It’s your time babe!
